Subscription & Refund Policy
Last modified: 10.16.2026 · Effective date: 10.16.2026
This policy explains how subscriptions to "Song AI Maker: Generate Music" (the App, songsynth.com and app.songsynth.com — the "Services") renew, how to cancel them, and how refunds work. It is provided by SONG SYNTH LTD (company number 16821020, 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom) and forms part of our Terms of Use (Section 7). Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. HOW SUBSCRIPTIONS WORK
- Free songs. New accounts may receive a limited number of free songs. Generating more requires a paid subscription.
- Plans. Plans (for example weekly or yearly), prices, and any introductory offer are shown on the purchase screen before you buy. Prices on our website include applicable sales tax.
- Automatic renewal. Every subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and you are charged the then-current price for the next period, until you cancel.
- Introductory offers. If you buy an introductory offer (for example, a reduced price for the first week), the subscription renews at the regular price shown at purchase when the introductory period ends, unless you cancel before then.
- Price changes. If we change the price of your plan, you will be notified in advance (by us or by the store) and can cancel before the new price applies.
2. HOW TO CANCEL
Cancel where you bought the subscription. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
| Where you bought | How to cancel |
|---|---|
| iPhone / iPad (Apple App Store) | Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Song AI Maker → Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge. Apple instructions |
| Android (Google Play) | Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Song AI Maker → Cancel. Google instructions |
| Our website (app.songsynth.com, paid via Stripe) | Sign in at app.songsynth.com → Settings → Manage subscription → Cancel. In the App, when signed in: Settings → Manage subscription → "Manage on the web". You can also email support@songsynth.com from the address of your Apple or Google sign-in. |
Please note:
- Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription — cancel it in your Apple or Google account as shown above. A website subscription is set to end at the end of the current billing period when you delete your account.
- A subscription bought on our website works in the App when you sign in with the same Apple or Google account. A subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play does not carry over to our website.
3. REFUNDS FOR APP STORE AND GOOGLE PLAY PURCHASES
Purchases made in the App are processed by Apple or Google, and only they can issue refunds, under their own policies. We cannot refund these purchases ourselves.
- Apple: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple instructions
- Google Play: request a refund through Google Play. Google instructions
If you contact us at support@songsynth.com, we will help you find the right place to ask.
4. REFUNDS FOR WEBSITE PURCHASES (STRIPE)
Website purchases are currently available to customers in the United States only.
We will give you a full refund if:
- you were charged twice for the same period, or charged because of a billing error on our side;
- you were charged for a renewal after you had cancelled (as shown in your Settings or our records);
- a technical problem on our side prevented you from using the paid features, and we could not fix it within a reasonable time.
First-payment refund. If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund of the first payment of a new website subscription within seven (7) days of that payment. We provide this once per customer, and we may decline it where the free-tier or refund rules are being abused (for example, repeated sign-ups to obtain refunds).
Annual renewals. If your yearly subscription renewed and you have not used the Services since the renewal, you may request a refund of that renewal within fourteen (14) days of the renewal charge.
Otherwise, payments are non-refundable once a billing period has started: when you cancel, you keep access until the end of the paid period, and we do not refund partly used periods. We may make exceptions at our discretion.
How to request a refund. Email support@songsynth.com with the email address of your Apple or Google sign-in and, if you have it, your Stripe receipt. We aim to reply within three (3) business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method; your bank may take 5–10 business days to show them. When we refund a subscription payment in full, the subscription is cancelled and paid access ends.
Chargebacks. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank — we can usually resolve billing problems faster. If a payment is disputed, we may suspend paid access while the dispute is open.
5. CUSTOMERS IN THE UK AND EU
Website purchases are not currently offered outside the United States. If we start offering them to consumers in the United Kingdom or the European Union, the following will apply in addition to Section 4. It describes your statutory right to cancel under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (and the equivalent EU rules); nothing here reduces that right.
What you buy. A subscription is a contract for an ongoing service (access to song generation, the Studio chat, and your library) that also lets you obtain digital content — for example, downloaded audio files and Certificates of Authorship. Each part is treated under the rules that apply to it.
Your 14-day right to cancel. You may cancel a new subscription within fourteen (14) days of the day you bought it, without giving a reason, by emailing support@songsynth.com or using the cancellation option in Settings and telling us you are withdrawing from the contract.
- The service. The subscription starts straight away only if you expressly ask for this at checkout. If you then cancel within the 14 days, we will refund what you paid minus an amount proportionate to the service provided up to the moment you told us you were cancelling, calculated against the full billing period. If we did not ask for your express request, or did not tell you about this deduction before you bought, we will refund you in full.
- Digital content you download. Downloading audio files or generating a Certificate of Authorship is supply of digital content. We will offer this during the 14 days only if you give your express consent and acknowledge that, once supply begins, you lose the right to cancel in respect of that content. If you did not give that consent and acknowledgement, or we did not confirm them to you as described below, you do not have to pay for that content.
- Refunds are made without undue delay and in any case within 14 days of the day you tell us you are cancelling, to the original payment method.
What we will do before opening sales outside the US. Our checkout will (1) ask you to request expressly that the service start during the cancellation period, (2) ask for your consent to receive downloadable content during that period and your acknowledgement that you lose the right to cancel for content already supplied, and (3) send you a confirmation by email that includes those choices and these cancellation terms.
